Exercise in Self-Forgiveness

Exercise in Self-forgiveness
Exercise in Self-forgiveness

You don’t need to beg forgiveness from anything outside of yourself.

No hoping, wishing, or begging for an outside source to come and forgive you.

This is one of the first steps to higher consciousness, and that is Self-forgiveness.

Exercise in Self-Forgiveness

  1. Look in the mirror and have a conversation with yourself of:

a. Recognizing the things you’ve done

b. How it happened

c. What created the situation

d. How you got out of it, solved it, or how you’re dealing with it

e. What you learned from it that you take with you into the future

(Learning how to not duplicate that problem again)

2) As you directly apply this in your life, and keep observing how you’re growing from

past mistakes, and not repeating them in the future, you will continually develop

    yourself to a higher level.

3) And if you find that you do repeat the same “learning situation” again, it means it’s a

repeating toxic pattern - which means there is a Protector Part driving your bus that

you need to turn your attention towards, reveal it, accept it, understand it, and build

trust with it. It will then take you to the Exile Part holding the core wound so you can

    heal that part.

4) If there is any resistance between you (Self-energy) and the feeling of completeness

with this exercise, do the U-turn inward and notice what you notice:

a. What thought, emotion, memory, body sensation, etc do you notice

b. Place attention on it, being “with” it as the Observer

c. What does it want you to know?

d. Continue “witnessing” this aspect of you, listening to understand (not judge)

e. If there’s judgement, fear, etc of this aspect, it is simply another Part that is

scared and so it is trying to blend with you

*if you are unable to unblend, it just means the Part is too scared to relax back &

it most likely would benefit from a skilled Practitioner to sit with you holding safe

space while you continue this exercise.
